Description: The information era has caused a leap in the industrial world. Industries that make full use of information technology are known as Industry 4.0, whose upstream and downstream focus on automation. However, in various aspects, there are gaps. Therefore, the use of accurate information is necessary to draw a common thread between various matters related to Industry 4.0. This paper reveals a little through the literature review as reliable information. In short, of course, it reveals the importance of understanding the changes that have occurred, a relation between the old industry and the industry 4.0.

Description: The paper considers the issues of increasing the efficiency of forming press connections by using additional ultrasonic vibrations introduced during the pressing process. A distinctive feature of the proposed approach is the use of ultrasonic vibrations simultaneously both for technological purposes to improve the efficiency of Assembly of press connections, and for indirect non-selective diagnostics of formed connections by analyzing vibrations directly in the Assembly process. The developed algorithm and device for ultrasonic pressing of teeth of a roller bit with an assessment of the quality of pressing on diagnostic indicators is presented.

Description: Cybercrime has proliferated over the last decade and is increasing in velocity and intensity. The need for employers to find highly skilled technologists to fill the many critical roles is reaching unprecedented levels. Men dominate the information technology fields such as cybersecurity and computer science. However, the need to bring more women into the various fields is necessary and would bring tremendous benefit to any organization. Much work needs to be done to generate interest in secondary schools by training teachers in technology so they can develop effective STEM curricula. Post-secondary schools need to focus on teacher development as well as developing information technology curricula that appeals to women. And once in the workplace, organizations need to develop policies and inclusive environments that do not alienate women.

Description: The use of information modeling technology in creating the investment-construction object provides a number of advantages to design, construction and operating organizations. Leading development companies should be transformed into a kind of IT-structure. In this regard, construction companies that develop their own strategies for switching to digital technologies and generate digital assets should, first of all, create the basis for their functioning - the integrated information model of the object - the BIM model. The latter includes all sections of the project and contains reliable and relevant information about the existing physical object. The concrete examples in this article show the results of the successful implementation of this approach in relation to capital construction projects of varying complexity.

Description: The present study summarizes major challenges in integration of maritime patrol, search and rescue, and proposes corresponding solutions based on previous studies and relevant practice in China and abroad. The patrol mode that integrates cruise, search and rescue is expected to fulfill patrol missions while improving the ships' capacity for search and rescue. In other words, cruise, search and rescue are fulfilled at the same time. At present, major challenges in integration of maritime patrol, search and rescue include problems in organizational planning, layout of sites, deployment and training of personnel, quality of rescue-and-rescue equipment, logistical support and soft environment for integration. Based on rescue capacity building in China and advanced search and rescue modes and technologies of other countries, this study puts forward corresponding measures to upgrade organizational planning, realize proper layout of sites for cruise, search and rescue, cultivate personnel, improve performance of equipment, increase the application of information technologies, improve logistical support, and foster an enabling soft environment for integration of cruise, search and rescue.

Description: The Internet and mobilization of information and communication technologies (ICTs) have made non‐manual work increasingly portable and remotely accessible. As a result, a considerable number of employees use their ICTs to engage in work‐related tasks during designated non‐work time, even without contractual obligation. However, existing research on such voluntary work‐related ICT use remains fragmented and spread across disciplines. The authors conducted a narrative review of 56 studies to identify themes in existing research, synthesize the evidence base and identify gaps in understanding. They identify five themes: (1) Social‐normative organizational context, (2) Job‐related characteristics and work processes, (3) Person characteristics, (4) Designated non‐work time and well‐being, and (5) Empowerment/Enslavement Paradox. A conceptual model of voluntary ICT use is developed by integrating the identified themes with existing organizational research, outlining the relationships between the identified themes and voluntary ICT use. The discussion emphasizes the need for more conceptual clarity on voluntary ICT use and related constructs, and for the integration of different disciplines and methodological approaches to advance knowledge in the field. The authors further identify person‐centred research as a critical future avenue to explore different ICT user types. Additionally, more research into the mechanisms and moderating influences regarding voluntary ICT use and its outcomes is considered advisable to advance knowledge on the Empowerment/Enslavement Paradox and its potential resolution. The paper concludes with preliminary implications to inform practice, addressing the need for employers to provide control over voluntary ICT use and employees enacting this control.
